Larry Honig, Ph.D.
a LENS neurofeedback practitioner and clinical psychologist in Wellington, New Zealand.
He currently treats mostly traumatic brain injury and post traumatic stress disorder.
Many of his clients purchased the Bellabee for home use after trying it out for a few minutes.
While treatment with the LENS and psychotherapy can create lasting changes over time, clients often experience difficulties with sleep, anxiety and focus for quite a long time.
The Bellabee helps with these symptoms quite powerfully.
There is no one standard way to use the Bellabee.
The beauty is that there are different presets for different goals.
People can try out different settings and notice whether they bring on the desired relaxation or the desired alertness. Everyone responds differently and can pay attention to their own response.
It is easy to set custom settings and for a start the lower ranges in theta (4-6 Hz) and alpha (7-11 Hz) slow down and induce relaxation. SMR or low Beta (12-14 Hz) can induce focused alertness and Beta (15 to 22 Hz) increase concentration.
We are beyond the rhetoric and into in era where we can asses, measure, quantify and train brain to enhance human performance like no other time in the history.
